Online Registration Is A Snap!

Welcome to the Alameda Recreation and Park Department's Online Registration through “arpdeplay.com.” We are pleased to bring you the convenience of anytime registration from the comfort of your own computer. Avoid waiting in lines or that lunchtime rush to get your registration in on time by signing up for programs at your leisure at www.arpdeplay.com.
Online accounts are set up by household. You must be 18 years or older and have a current e-mail address to activate an online account for you and your family members. Please read the following information prior to activating your account:
- If you or anyone in your household/family has registered for any classes or rented any facilities from ARPD in the past six (6) years, you already have an existing account with us and do not need to create a new one. Simply call the main office at (510) 747-7529 to provide an e-mail address and we will verify and activate your online account during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
- If you are unsure whether or not you have an existing account with us, please call (510) 747-7529 and we will verify your information.
- You do NOT need to be a resident of Alameda to sign up for online registration or participate in our programs. Please note that there are some resident/non-resident rates for certain programs.
- When creating a new account online, please remember to add everyone in the household prior to submitting your new account request. Once your account has been activated, you must contact the main office to make any changes, additions, etc.
- When creating a new account online, the first name you enter will be considered the main contact for the household. The main contact must be a minimum of 18 years old and have a current e-mail address. After the main contact name and address information has been entered, click on the “Add Client” button located under the last name option to add additional household members. After they have all been entered, click on the submit button at the bottom of the page and your information will be submitted for activation.
- Not all ARPD programs will be available for online registration. Click on any of the links to the left to find out more registration information for programs.
- Online registration for a class becomes unavailable when one of the following two things occur: (1) The class is full OR (2) It is the first day of class. You must register early; our classes and programs are very popular. Online registration is not available on the day the class begins.
- Online registration is completed once your payment has been processed with a valid Visa or MasterCard at the end of your checkout process. Remember to print your receipt as this is your only opportunity to do so. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING IN THE MAIL CONFIRMING YOUR ENROLLMENT. Note your class start date, time and location and attend your class.

Program Registration
Alameda Recreation and Park Department reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or combine classes and change instructors. Programs not meeting the minimum registration will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued. Alameda Recreation and Park Department Staff will notify participants in cancelled classes.
Registration Deadlines
Registration deadlines are established for each class to help provide a positive experience for participants by ensuring appropriate staffing, supplies and facilities to meet the registration needs.
We appreciate your understanding when we are not able to accommodate cancellations, tranfers or registrations after the registration deadline.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations initiated by the participant must be requested a minimum of 5 business days prior to the start of the program. Refunds are no longer issued. You will receive credit for the cancelled program on your ARPD account less a $15 processing fee. You or anyone in your household may use this credit for any future ARPD Program.

All you need is a Barcode and PIN Number issued by the Alameda Recreation and Park Department and either a valid MasterCard or VISA only.
To activate your existing account, please contact ARPD with a valid e-mail address. For new clients, please click here to download a new account request form (pdf, 164k). Be sure you include all your family members on the form. You may download as many forms as necessary to activate everyone in your household.
Once you receive your Barcode and PIN Number, you will be able to use www.arpdeplay.com
Please allow 1-2 business days to activate your account.
Please note: Not all Alameda Recreation and Park Department Programs and Activities will be available for Online Registration because of complex registration procedures.
