WALT DISNEY FAMILY MUSEUM
We will be traveling to the Presidio in San Francisco to visit the newly opened Walt Disney Family Museum. The whole family will be fascinated with over 1,400 artifacts and hands-on interactive stations featuring Disney characters. There are countless art/animation exhibits and even a model of an early Disneyland Park.
We will have a timed entry into the museum and then each family is free to explore at their leisure. Lunch will be on your own so bring a lunch or bring money for the Museum Café. For those of you who are interested in exploring the Presidio, there is a FREE Presidio Shuttle (shuttle schedule will be sent with final confirmation letter to participants). This is a must-see for any Disney aficionado!

Alameda Walks!
Co-Sponsored by the Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth & Their Families,
Pedestrian Friendly Alameda and Alameda Recreation and Park Department
Thanks for walking with us in 2009. Check back in May for our 2010 Alameda Walks Schedule!
|
Here's an opportunity for you, your friends and family to get out of the car and take a stroll through the backroads of Alameda. All walks begin at 9:00 a.m. and last approximately one hour rain or shine. Walks return close to or at their starting point.
For those who are unable to go on the actual tours, here are some historic walking tours created by Stellar Media Group's "Alameda An Architectural Treasure Chest" by Dennis Evanosky, which can be purchased at www.evanosky.info. Historic photographs and maps courtesy of Alameda Museum; modern-day hiking map courtesy of Eric J. Kos.
