Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club Rental Information
The Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club is located in historic Alameda Point, formerly the Alameda Naval Air Station. There are 4 separate rooms available for rental for both small and large venues.
The O'Club is very popular for wedding receptions, conferences and formal dances. There is ample parking in the lot across the street. Please call (510) 747-7587 for more information.

Picnic, Bocce Ball Court, Field, Swim Center and Recreation Center Rental Information
Recreation Centers - The Alameda Recreation and Park Department has three recreation centers located in local parks that can be rented out for parties, receptions or other events on weekends only. Please call (510)747-7587 for further information.

Park Picnic Areas - There are 18 parks which include 16 multi-purpose athletic fields (4 with night lighting), 1 soccer field, and 16 tennis courts.*Not all parks have picnic areas for rental. Some areas are first-come first-serve only. Jumpers only allowed with permit. Please see our current activity guide for a complete listing of parks and facilities.

Hardball/Softball/Soccer Fields - We have collegiate level hardball and expertly maintained softball and soccer fields. ALL Softball, hardball and soccer fields are maintained and booked through the Alameda Recreation and Park Department main office at (510)747-7529 or (510) 747-7586.

John Ratto Bocce Ball Court (located in Lincoln Park - Santa Clara Avenue & High Street)
Effective immediately, there is a charge to rent the John Ratto Bocce Ball Court (see fee schedule below). All reservations must be made in person at the Alameda Recreation and Park Department Office, 2226 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations will not be accepted less than seven (7) working days or more than ninety (90) days prior to the date requested. All fees must be paid in full at the time the reservation is issued. Hours available for Bocce Ball Court rentals are from 9:00 a.m. to dusk.
Swim Facilities - The City of Alameda runs two swim centers located at Alameda and Encinal High Schools. Public swimming and aquatic classes are available during the months of June through August. Please see our Summer Activity Guide for more information.
Pool Rental Information (pdf file)
The Underground Teen Center - The Underground Teen Center is situated in the Historic Veterans' Memorial Building, 2203 Central Avenue. Amenities include a pool table, ping pong table, t.v. with couches, additional room available for extra seating, limited kitchen facilites for food preparation. Boat Launching Ramps
The City of Alameda maintains two free public boat launching ramps for boaters:
Encinal Boat Ramp: located off Central Avenue behind Encinal High School, includes a launching ramp, restrooms, and automobile and trailer parking.
Grand Street Boat Ramp: located at the north end of Grand Street, includes a launching ramp, restrooms, fishing pier, fish cleaning facilities, and automobile and trailer parking.
Meyers House and Garden Museum
Meyers House is under the supervision of the Alameda Historical Museum. Guided tours are available. Please call (510) 521-1247 for further information.

Alameda Theatre
The Alameda Recreation and Park Department is now allowing the community use of the privately operated historic Alameda Theatre, located at 2317 Central Avenue. City of Alameda sponsored, Alameda Unified School District/College of Alameda and other local goverment agencies and non-profit groups (Alameda based and/or majority membership Alameda residents) may use the Alameda Theatre 12 calendar days a year for events that appeal to the community, educational and cultural interests of Alameda's general public and maximize the community's exposure to this exceptional restored historical asset.
If groups are interested, please see below for Community Use Policy and Fee Schedule for further details. Permit applications will be accepted twice a year by April 1st and October 1st for an event no less than sixty (60) working days and no more than one (1) year from the April 1st and October 1st dates, not to exceed 12 community use days within a calendar year.
All requests must be made in person in the Alameda Recreation and Park Department, 2226 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bill Osborne Model Airplane Field
The Alameda Recreation and Parks maintains a field for flying model airplanes. Fees are not required, but proof of personal liability insurance is required. Free flying lessons are held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sundays by appointment only, weather permitting. Equipment provided by Aer-o-nuts. Mastick Senior Center
The Alameda Recreation and Park Department manages the Mastick Senior Center. They have activities and programs for seniors (ages 50 and up) that include classes, day trips, dances and cruises. Chuck Corica Golf Complex
The Alameda Recreation and Park Department manages the beautiful Chuck Corica Golf Complex. The complex features two 18 hole courses; Jack Clark (south) and Earl Fry (north). It also features the Mif Albright par 3 course for beginners or those busy people looking to get a few holes in. For beginners new to the game, the Norma Arnerich Teaching Academy is available for lessons for all ages. The Junior Golf Association features free lessons for kids as well as junior competitions. Check out the latest equipment on the market at the Pro Shop. Whether you're a golfer or not, enjoy a fabulous meal at "Jim's on the Course".
