Social Services Resource Guide
The guide is a two page PDF document that lists the names and phone numbers of social services agencies serving the community of Alameda.
Downloadable “No Room for Hate” Posters Available
The City of Alameda recently installed banners in the commercial districts announcing the Season for Nonviolence, which is an international movement commemorating the 64 days, from January 30 to April 4, between the anniversaries of the assassinations of Mahatma Ghandi and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Season’s purpose is to create awareness of nonviolent principles and practices as a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower people’s lives and their communities.
As the official Season for Non-Violence winds down, the City’s Social Service Human Relations Board and Alamedans Together Against Hate work group encourage Alamedan’s to maintain their commitment to a hate- and bias-free Alameda throughout the year by displaying “No Room For Hate” window posters in their homes and places where people gather to work, study, worship or socialize. For a downloadable copy of the colorful poster,
