The City of Alameda Planning Board is holding an objective, educational public workshop to provide information on the historical background of City Charter Article XXVI (Measure A) and the benefits and limitations it provides to transit and housing. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on February 23 at the Kofman Auditorium at 2200 Central Avenue and will be free to the public.
“We look forward to providing the community this opportunity to learn more about the effects Measure A has on land use planning, development, housing and transportation from experts and residents who can provide us all with their objective perspectives on the Measure, “said Planning Board President Anne Cook.
Housing Element Update
The workshop will feature panels of experts from Alameda and the greater Bay Area who have professional experience as historians, architects, economic development and planning specialists, and transportation specialists.
