Dear Alameda Resident:
The City of Alameda is interested in obtaining your opinion on transportation issues in our City. Your input may affect the future design, function and operation of all types of transportation facilities in Alameda, potentially your own street or one in your neighborhood.
The City-wide Transportation Master Plan (TMP) will address how the City can accommodate future growth, maintain Alameda’s unique character, and protect the quality of life we currently enjoy. The first step is to develop an overall policy framework for how the various transportation modes (cars, trucks, buses, ferries, bicycles, and pedestrians) can interrelate safely while providing Alamedans with viable transportation choices.
Here on the City’s Web site you will be able to contribute your ideas and to keep up-to-date on the TMP as it moves forward. This information will also be made available at the public libraries, City Hall, City Hall West, or by e-mail at your request.
Thank you for taking the time to share your opinions with us.
Sincerely,
Beverly Johnson, Mayor
