The City of Alameda is undertaking an Update of its Master Tree Plan
The current Master Tree Plan and tree inventory was completed in 1989. Since that time, changes have taken place in Alameda: trees in the city have matured; new trees have been planted; new neighborhoods have been redeveloped or added; and there have been changes in horticulture practices. All these changes will be reflected in the Update of the Master Tree Plan (UMTP).
Kickoff Meeting Drew Resident Input
A kickoff meeting was held on February 13, 2008 at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to the review the existing Master Tree Plan, discuss the objectives of the proposed update, and provide input on street tree concerns, particularly trees in their neighborhood. During the meeting participants wrote down their concerns about trees in the City in general and in their neighborhood.

Printed copies of the final draft Master Tree Plan will be available to the public for viewing at the Main Library, East End Library and West End Library two weeks prior to the meeting date. You may also download your own copy with the links below.
